Lines of Business Insurance

          Commercial Property
Commercial Property Insurance compensates a business if the property used in the business is lost or damaged as the result of various types of common perils such as fire or theft. Property insurance covers not just a building or structure but also what insurers refer to as personal property, meaning office furnishings, inventory, raw materials, machinery, computers and other items vital to a business’s operations.

Commercial Package Insurance includes property, general liability, crime business interruption and can have endorsements that customize the form for particular class of business i.e. restaurants, flower shop, etc.
Inland Marine
Commercial Inland Marine is a group of property insurance coverages designed to insure exposures that are not conveniently or reasonably confined to a fixed location or insured at a standard rate under a standard form. This includes coverage for property in transit over land, certain moveable property, property under construction, instrumentalities of transportation and communication (such as bridges, roads, piers, television and radio towers), legal liability coverage for bailees, and computerized equipment. Many inland marine coverage forms provide coverage without regard to the location of the covered property; these are sometimes called "floater" policies.
          Commercial General Liability
General Liability Insurance is designed to protect business owners and operators from a wide variety of liability exposures. Exposures could include liability arising from accidents resulting from the insured's premises or operations, products sold by the insured, operations completed by the insured, and contractual liability.
Workers Compensation
Workers compensation insurance covers the cost of medical care and rehabilitation for workers injured on the job. It also compensates them for lost wages and provides death benefits for their dependents if they are killed in work-related accidents, including terrorist attacks. The workers compensation system is the "exclusive remedy" for on-the-job injuries suffered by employees. As part of the social contract embedded in each state's law, the employee gives up the right to sue the employer for injuries caused by the employer's negligence and in return receives workers compensation benefits regardless of who or what caused the accident, as long as it happened in the workplace as a result of and in the course of workplace activities.
Commercial Truck/Vehicle Fleets
Most states require business owners to purchase liability insurance for bodily injury and property damage that may result from a vehicle accident occurring while you or someone from your organization is driving on business. Many states also require the insured to have uninsured/underinsured motorists' coverage and/or medical payments coverage (known as Personal Injury Protection (PIP) in some states). Physical damage coverage is also available for vehicles a business owns, leases or hires.
The Business Auto Coverage Form (BACF) is the most commonly used contract for providing business auto liability insurance. Although the form refers only to "autos," autos are defined to include cars, trucks, trailers, vans or other vehicles designed for use on public roads.
Each vehicle you use in your business can be separately "scheduled," or listed on your policy along with corresponding coverages. In other words, you can choose different coverages, for your various vehicles, depending on the vehicle's characteristics and the coverage you need for it.
                    Umbrella / Excess Liability
Commercial Umbrella Liability Insurance is an important part of a commercial insurance program. The Umbrella Policy provides limits that are over the insured's primary liability coverage such as their general liability, automobile liability, and employer's liability policies.
Umbrellas also may provide protection to insureds from exclusions and gaps that exist in their primary liability insurance. A typical commercial umbrella liability policy may offer features such as worldwide coverage, personal injury coverage, blanket contractual liability protection (for both written and oral agreements), care, custody, and control coverage, non-owned aircraft liability, watercraft liability, advertisers liability, liquor law liability, XCU liability and an extension of protection to additional insured.

Cyber Security (First & Third Party Coverage)
Cyber Security Insurance Policies can provide both First and Third Party Coverage for numerous classes of business.
Our carriers' policies cover a wide range of cyber liability exposures, and coverage is available nationwide on either an admitted or non-admitted basis.
Employment Practice Liability (EPLI)
Employment Practices Libility Insurance covers (up to the policy limits) damages for which an employer is legally liable such as violating an employee's civil or other legal rights. In addition to paying a judgment for which the insured is liable, it also provides legal defense costs, which can be substantial even when there has been no wrongdoing. EPLI covers businesses against claims by workers that their legal rights as employees of the company have been violated. The number of lawsuits filed by employees against their employers has been rising. While most suits are filed against large corporations, no company is immune to such lawsuits. Recognizing that smaller companies now need this kind of protection, some insurers provide this coverage as an endorsement to their Business Owners Policy (BOP). An endorsement changes the terms and conditions of the policy. Other companies offer EPLI as a stand-alone coverage.
Directors & Officers Liability
Errors & OmissionsSome businesses involve services such as giving advice, making recommendations, designing things, providing physical care or representing the needs of others, which can lead to being sued by customers, clients or patients claiming that the business's failure to perform a job properly has injured them. Errors and omissions or professional liability insurance covers these situations. The policy will pay any judgment for which the insured is legally liable, up to the policy limit. It also provides legal defense costs, even when there has been no wrongdoing.

Consumer Tips:

        - When real estate prices go down, some homeowners may think they can reduce the amount of coverage of insurance on their home. But insurance is designed to cover the cost of rebuilding, not the sales price of the home. You should make sure that you have enough coverage to completely rebuild your home and replace your belongings.
